You will be aware that mental health and learning disability services in North Cumbria will be transferring to NTW on 1 October 2019. A number of staff have already received a letter confirming their transfer to NTW under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations otherwise known as TUPE. In addition to this, both Trusts have made a commitment to work together to retain employment, where possible, for staff working in front line and support/corporate services where a formal TUPE transfer process does not apply.

Phase three of recruitment of the TUPE transfer is now underway however some vacancies remain unfilled. As a Senior Data Warehouse Officer you will support the successful delivery of a Trust wide data warehouse for the Trusts business critical systems.  You will support the Data Warehouse Manager on the development of a Trust wide reporting system including the use of dashboards.

You will provide specialist advice relating to the interpretation of NHS data metrics and standards and take these into account when loading data into the data warehouse.  You will provide technical expertise and in depth understanding of NHS information from a variety of systems including the support and maintenance of nationally mandated datasets and to ensure accurate and timely submission of all relevant statutory returns.

As we move to the cloud you will embrace new technologies and new ways of working implementing new tools and features as they reach maturity.  You will be expected to research and learn these new technologies using your own initiative.

This post can be offered as a flexible base but initially the post holder will need to be based at Gosforth for 6 months for initial training and knowledge transfer from other members of the team.

Medical Education Manager – Cumbria

The post works within the Medical Education, Development and Workforce (MEDW) team which builds and supports the journey from medical student to consultant psychiatrist. The Medical Education team works closely with Newcastle and Sunderland Universities and Health Education England, North East (HEENE) to provide high quality education and training for undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainee doctors. It also supports the development of consultant psychiatrists as trainers of students and trainees. The post holder will have a strategic role and work with the Director of Medical Education and other members of the Medical Education faculty to develop, maintain and quality control high quality education programmes for 3rd, 4th and 5th year undergraduate medical students on placement with the trust, as well as postgraduate trainee doctors and fellows overseeing post co-ordination, induction, tailored teaching programmes and regular teaching events. The post holder has autonomous responsibility for the operational management of the Medical Education administration team and resources, and overall line management of the team’s staff.

Estates and Facilities Manager

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Estate and Facilities services across the Carleton Clinic site and a number of smaller properties where services are delivered. The delivery of Estates services will be done predominantly via a contract with CPFT and the post holder will be managing that contract, Facilities services will be provided from a direct labour force. The post holder will also be working alongside colleagues from NTW in the delivery of a capital investment and development programme.
