You will be aware that mental health and learning disability services in North Cumbria will be transferring to NTW on 1 October 2019. A number of staff have already received a letter confirming their transfer to NTW under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations otherwise known as TUPE.

In addition to this, both Trusts have made a commitment to work together to retain employment, where possible, for staff working in front line and support/corporate services where a formal TUPE transfer process does not apply.

In this respect, we are pleased to advertise a number of vacancies to colleagues employed by CPFT who work in similar posts and are working at the same Agenda for Change banding.  All posts at this stage of the process will be based in Cumbria and current terms and conditions will be retained as full TUPE benefits will be applied and employment will transfer to NTW.

Clinical Informatics Lead

The Clinical Informatics Lead will build on the Global Digital Exemplar and Fast Follower work to embed digital solutions in clinical services, continue innovation and strengthen the links between informatics, clinical services and partner agencies. Whilst the post is clinical, the post-holder should have experience of developing, implementing and supporting clinical informatics solutions.
The role will include providing clinical informatics input into operational clinical IT systems, clinical informatics projects and medico/legal functions. Building strong links with partner organisations and facilitating information sharing will be a key aspect of this role. Whilst not line managing staff, the role will be expected to support the wellbeing of informatics staff through liaison with line managers.

The post works within the Medical Education, Development and Workforce (MEDW) team which builds and supports the journey from medical student to consultant psychiatrist. The Medical Education team works closely with Newcastle and Sunderland Universities and Health Education England, North East (HEENE) to provide high quality education and training for undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainee doctors. It also supports the development of consultant psychiatrists as trainers of students and trainees. The post holder will have a strategic role and work with the Director of Medical Education and other members of the Medical Education faculty to develop, maintain and quality control high quality education programmes for 3rd, 4th and 5th year undergraduate medical students on placement with the trust, as well as postgraduate trainee doctors and fellows overseeing post co-ordination, induction, tailored teaching programmes and regular teaching events.
