I have been a Consultant Psychiatrist (Working Age Adult) based in Sunderland since 1998, initially (as a “sector” based) covering inpatient and Community though since 2010 as a Community Psychiatrist in the Non Psychosis and Psychosis pathways. I have been based in the Sunderland North Community Treatment Team since its establishment in June 2014, the first “Principal Community Pathway” team to “go live”.
I have been a medical manager since July 2011 and am currently Clinical Director for Community services Sunderland and South Tyneside. I’m interested in service transformation and have been involved in and led a number of Trustwide transformation initiatives. I was a member of the design team for the Trustwide Principal Community Pathway (PCP) work. I’m a certified Lean Leader and have led a number of “RPIWs”.
I’m Deputy Programme Director for the Northern Higher Training Scheme.
