I have worked in child mental health since my training at the Maudsley Hospital, London, where I had opportunity to train with Professor Eric Taylor and Sir Professor Michael Rutter.
I have been a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for 18 years. I have been involved in training across other agencies and adult mental health services and in service development for ADHD and ASD. I have contributed to a text book (First and Second editions), “What works for whom” by Fonagy et al.
I have personal experience of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and am currently in my second year of adult psychotherapy training. My ambition is to be able to work systemically with families impacted in this way.
I enjoy teaching and providing supervision within health and across agencies.
I have worked as a Paediatrician and obtained my MRCP(UK) exam. I enjoy providing support to acute services and considering the holistic needs of children and their families.
