I completed my undergraduate medical degree (MBBS) in Nigeria, before moving to the UK where I completed my basic and higher specialist training in Psychiatry.
I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Since 2014, I have been employed as a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist in NTW NHS Foundation Trust. I have a compassionate holistic approach in her practice, and currently work as a Community Consultant with the Older Adult Mental Health Team based in Monkwearmouth Hospital. I also provide medical input into the Sunderland Challenging Behavior Team.
I am involved in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I hold a Masters Degree in Medical Education from the Durham University. I also has an interest in the management of behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia and challenging behavior.
