Trust receives national praise

Advice produced by staff and service users at one of the country’s largest mental health and disability trusts has been praised at a national awards ceremony.

Two resources published by Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (NTW) were highly commended at the British Medical Association’s Patient Information Awards which were held at BMA House, London on Monday 18 September.

‘Anxiety – easy read information’ written by NTW was highly commended and ‘Depression and Low Mood – a guide for partners’ written in partnership with relationship charity, OnePlusOne and NTW.

The Trust prides itself on producing a range of self-help guides that offer people the opportunity to find out more about the causes of mental health issues and provide tools to work through feelings and emotions. We are honoured to be recognised by the British Medical Association.
