Community Children and Young People’s Services

We have different professionals who all work together to help children and young people who are having problems with their emotional or mental health. We know that sometimes young people worry about coming to see us but we are here to help. This leaflet should help answer some of the questions that you might have.

Dementia and aggressive behaviour

This Alzheimer's Society factsheet explains why a person with dementia might act aggressively, either physically or verbally. It gives practical tips that carers can use to help prevent and manage aggressive behaviour. It also looks at the types of support that may be available.

Depression

This Royal College of Psychiatrists leaflet is for anyone who is, or has been depressed. It describes what depression feels like, some of the help that is available, how you can help yourself and how to help someone else who is depressed. At the end of the leaflet, there is a list of other places where you can get further information.
